A Passage to Himalaya

A  PASSAGE TO HIMALAYA contains a selection of some of the finest  writings from the Himalayan Journal, Volumes 1 to 55 (1928-2000). These are the best references on the Himalaya and the Karakoram. This volume contains articles on trekking, climbing, tragedy, rescue, nature, and all other aspects of these ranges.  The authors are some of the  leading mountaineers  of  the last century.

Authors

A varied collection of writings  from   famous authors, both alive and from the past, are covered here. Kenneth Mason, Dr. Earnest Névé, Jack Gibson, H.W.Tilman, Sir G.Corbett, Wilfred Noyce, J.O.M. Roberts, R.L.Holdsworth  and Francis Younghusband are writers from the earlier  generation. The selection includes works of current authors like   Trevor Braham, Aamir Ali, Kurt Diemberger, Sir Chris Bonington, Stephen Venables, Bill Aitken,  Gurdayal Singh, Victor Saunders and many others.
