Mountaineering rarely makes money. It is about excitement, new experience, and people. And so too is writing about it.

Area Notes

The Alpine Club, London is one of the oldest clubs in the world. It has some of the best mountaineers as its members, who remain in contact with recent climbing achievements and happenings. The Club publishes The Alpine Journal, one of the finest references to the world of mountaineering.

To cover all the news of far away ranges, like The Alps, The Andes and of course the Himalaya, they have a unique system. A member of the Club would annually write about their area of interest, covering important events in the region that may interest the world of mountaineers. It may be climbing, expeditions, accidents, new book published or changes in rules and regulations. In short, all aspects that could affect or important for a person interested in those mountains.
